About Glutenada
Thank you for your interest in our company! Glutenada offers a lineup of delicious gluten-free baking and dry mixes (hat will please even the most finicky palate) as well as that deliciously chocolately treat - Spoonfudge.
Each of our gluten-free mixes has been carefully created and tested on a variety of willing participants, many of whom do not need to eat gluten-free foods. We wanted to make sure our breads, pancakes, doughnut holes and other products could pass muster with the most critical of all eaters - those who can eat anything.
Our gluten-free mixes contain none of the gluten but ALL of the taste. You can feed any of our delicious products to anyone you'd like – they'll never know that you're feeding them gluten-free food.
Our Spoonfudge has fans and converts from coast to coast (and even up into Canada). We offer a variety of flavors that will tempt even the most finicky chocolate snob. Our Spoonfudge is creamy, rich, and definitely addictive and just one spoonful will never be enough!

Glutenada history
Glutenada was started by Cherie Funderburg. Cherie was diagnosed with celiac disease in February of 2003. At that time, there was virtually nothing on the store shelves for people who were gluten-free, and what was there didn't make you want to go back for more. Cherie saw a long life of meats and vegetables stretching out before her and as one might expect, severe depression set in. A life without pancakes. A life bereft of cookies. A life with no more sandwiches. Oh, the inhumanity!

But within a year or so, Cherie began to notice mixes springing up in health food stores and even a few mainstream grocery stores. These mixes were not that great - the end result was almost always gritty, dry and rather tasteless. But when faced with NO pancakes or gritty, tasteless ones - gritty won out!
However, after choking down a few mixes, it became apparent that maybe nothing was better than icky results. Being gluten-intolerant does not mean that we've lost our taste buds! Cherie sourced out a gluten-free flour that was light and produced fluffy baked goods. From here, she threw in a bit of this and a pinch of that and her husband and son began to beg for more and the rave reviews started. She served guests and family members the different goodies and was told that she *had* to sell these. They were delicious! (This from family and friends without gluten concerns.)
And thus Glutenada was born. Born of the desperation of one woman to taste just one yummy buttermilk pancake at least once more in this lifetime. A desire to once again enjoy a biscuit slathered in butter and jam. And a yearning for fried chicken and hush puppies! Glutenada is not only for the gluten-intolerant eater; the mixes are good enough that the gluten-free person can feed their entire family without complaint.
Spoonfudge history
Cherie Funderburg, the owner and current lone candy-maker on staff, started making Spoonfudge a number of years ago as Christmas gifts for friends and family. With her background in web development and graphic design (Cherie is co-founder and co-owner of RedLime Web Development, a web development company she runs with her husband), it wasn't long before these simple gifts found themselves in specialty jars and with custom-created labels and other embellishments, creating a unique and upscale gift that was eagerly looked forward to each year by those who received them.
At the urging of these same friends and family members, Cherie decided to go into business selling Spoonfudge and an internet phenomenon was born. Starting with just a few flavors, we've gradually added new flavors at our customer's requests and routinely run limited time flavors monthly so there is always something new to enjoy.
Our Spoonfudge is created in small, handmade batches. We do not use automated machinary for any part of our manufacturing process. The highest possible quality product and packaging are our goal.
Glutenada is located in Port Angeles, WA. Currently, Glutenada is only available via our website but we will be offering wholesale and resale opportunities later this year.
