All orders from the previous order window (May 30 - June 1) have been shipped out and should be received by June 22.

Last week we posted on our spoonfudge.com blog and sent out a newsletter about charssi closing up shop. The feedback was immediate, loud, and made quite an impact.
About half of the responses were from customers who were sad to see us go but could understand the need for closing. The remainder were from customer who were just overcome with grief at the thought of no more Spoon Fudge forevermore. Their emails were filled with "nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and "please reconsider! please! please! please!!!!" In the midst of these emails a recurring suggestion was made - couldn't we scale back in how often we made and shipped out fudge so we could still do this, just in a smaller capacity?
My first thought was no. Whether I do this 1 day per month or 10 days per month, it still takes time and as I stated in my last mailing, that's something I'm quite short on at the moment. But then as we were at the kitchen making the fudge, my family said that they really wished I would reconsider my decision to close up. They volunteered to do what is needed to get it out and they suggested just shipping once a month.
How funny - customers and family alike had the same idea! And so, after giving this idea more thought, that's what we're going to do.
Effective later this month or early next month, Spoon Fudge will be back for once-a-month shipments. The site will remain open between shipments but orders will not be taken until a few days before our next ship date. At that time a newsletter will be sent out with information about the next order date and flavors available. At our next label re-ordering date, we'll be making the changes I addressed earlier in the year: new labels, new packaging, no more trans-fat. In addition, the entire fudge line will be located under the general Glutenada lineup and once the new labels are made, charssi will be no longer.
We will be making changes to the site so our once-a-month shipping will be clear and easy to understand. The Punch Card system will remain in place as will the flat rate shipping. Any punches you've incurred from 01-07 through the present date will be available for use once we're back open and orders are being accepted. Whether we'll be offering a Flavor of the Month has yet to be determined but rest assured, any "regular" flavors that were available and are sold out will be back with our new packaging when that time comes. Right now we'll be focusing on finishing off the labels that are left and tweaking the final parts of our new packaging.
I apologize for the back and forth decision concerning the future of Spoon Fudge. I really had *no* idea of the type of response our closing would generate and well, I'm very touched! I knew we had a product that people loved... I just wasn't aware of just how much you loved it!
This will be the last mailing for a few weeks while we work out the kinks and figure out the best way to handle this new method of doing business. I'll be sending out a new mailing once we're ready to accept orders and our new site is ready to go. In the meantime, your Spoon Fudge should be at your doorstep tomorrow or early next week. Enjoy!
