After multiple years of frustration at the lack of edible gluten-free baking and cooking mixes available, I decided to make my own. Being gluten-intolerant does not mean that we've lost our taste buds! Most of what you can find in the stores now are overpriced and well, they don't taste too good. I'm thrilled to announce that we are in the process of formulating, testing and retesting some pretty awesome gluten-free dry mixes.

What will we be offering? We've got a nice line-up to start with...
Buttermilk Pancakes: remember enjoying delicious, melt in your mouth buttermilk pancakes? No more dreaming! Our pancakes are fluffy, not-gritty, and are as close to "normal" pancakes as you can imagine. Our taste testers rarely finger these as being GF!
Hush Puppies: Not sure what hush puppies are? They are little nuggets of corn bread that are deep fried and then dipped in ketchup. A southern staple and family favorite. Yummy!
Double Chocolate Brownies: Of the numerous people we've had test these, only a few knew that there was something "different" about them. These are as good as, or better than, their gluten containing counterparts. They even have the cracked tops of "normal" brownies. And with loads of chocolate chips, you're sure to get your chocolate fix!
Buttermilk Biscuits: These may be ugly, but they're delicious! They're "ugly" because they are dropped onto the cookie sheet rather than being rolled out and cut by hand. But their flavor and texture is just like a normal biscuit - delicious with butter and jam!
All Purpose Deep Fry Mix: been craving fried chicken? What about fish and chips? Or how about some onion rings? You can do it all with this mix! Makes the absolute best chicken strips on the planet - gluten free or not. (this coming from a teen boy that thinks chicken strips are a major food group)
Sweet Fruit Bread Mix: with this yummy mix you'll be able to whip up a moist and dense loaf of fruit bread. Use bananas, applesauce, pumpkin puree, or any other veggie puree you've got. Even carrots! When stuck in the frig overnight (if it lasts that long) it's just heaven on a plate. Yum!
Plain Doughnut Holes: I admit that I'm bursting with pride over these buggers. Just like cake doughnuts! No grit, no dryness, no crumbly mess. Just a nice, soft, crave-able doughnut hole. Incredible eaten plain but over the top when rolled in cinnamon sugar or glazed.
Chocolate Doughnut Holes: still need more chocolate? These'll do ya! Just as yummy, soft, and decadent as the plain version, but better. Because let's face it - everything is better with chocolate. Right?
